3X ROI by Investing in Operations & Team Managers
The driver of outcomes in organizations is the performance of teams.
The wellbeing and performance of teams are the lifeblood of your services organization. Stress and burnout on teams can lead to distraction, inadequate communication, and, inevitably, poor performance in business.
If your teams and team members are not performing at their full potential it will:
Impact the quality of project delivery, utilization, and profitability.
Negatively impact team morale and culture.
Impact the quality of project deliverables for the client.
This results in projects going over budget and past deadline.
Poor motivation on teams will eventually lead to issues
around recruitment, development, and retention of your professionals. In this uncertain and complex New World of Work, leaders and teams will experience high levels of personal and professional stress which undermines their resilience and their performance.
Mindful Leadership in organizations reduces the stress levels of teams, prevents distraction and overwhelm, and allows virtual and remote teams to communicate effectively.
The performance of a team is only limited by the performance of the team manager.
Team leaders are the drivers of business performance in professional and business services. They are responsible for the client, the team members, and senior leadership.
A Wharton study confirms that managers have 3X the impact on business performance than team members.
As per a Linkedin survey, employees who recommend their managers are 2.3x more likely to be engaged, 2x more likely to stay with the organization, and 2.3x more likely to have clarity about the strategy of the organization.
Team leaders are ultimately responsible for a high-quality deliverable while inspiring their team members to deliver on time and on budget. They are often responsible for onboarding, on the job training of new team members. They are responsible for the wellbeing and performance of their team members. They constantly have to manage client expectations and push back when the client asks for requests beyond the scope.
Team managers have the most difficult role in organizations.
In their efforts to deliver results they face a lot of pressure and get squeezed balancing the expectations of multiple stakeholders: the client, the team members and business leaders.
During the pandemic burnout for managers increased 80%. For managers, “heavy workload” was the most frequently cited woe associated with burnout.
Under normal circumstances, it is challenging to be a leader within a high-performance organization. In our extraordinary times, the potential for stress and mental health challenges is off the charts. Team leaders deal with high levels of stress and burnout while managing the wellbeing and performance of team members. Typically, it’s the team leaders who bear a disproportionate amount of stress and are highly likely to experience burnout.
The bad news is that your managers will face a disproportionate level of pressure and burnout as they graduate into leadership positions with increased responsibility, juggling the expectations of customers, management, and team members, which often results in poor leadership. Poor leadership can increase stress and overwhelm your teams…and the cycle continues.
A struggling team manager becomes the bottleneck for team performance,
through indecision, bad decisions, analysis-paralysis, over busyness, micro-managing, lack of guidance, disorganization, bureaucracy, conflict, lack of inspiration, and leadership.
A struggling manager creates high levels of stress, anxiety, rework, and poor quality work for the team. Such teams often miss deadlines or go over budget ultimately resulting in an unhappy, unsatisfied client, along with lower business results, including sales, utilization, and profitability.
Investing in team managers has the greatest ROI in organizations.
A Wharton study confirms that managers have 3X the impact on business performance than team members.

Managers are a powerful part of an organization’s success.
Managers and professionals don’t simply respond to what’s happening but rather work together to bring out the best in one another. And that ongoing collaboration contributes to your organization’s purpose and business results.

Your team managers will increase their focus and clarity while preserving their sense of wellbeing and bringing out the best in their team members. Your professionals will reduce stress, avoid burnout and improve their performance levels.
Team managers have10X leverage and impact on teams
The business case for mindful leaders is simple…
If the team managers are fully present on the job, they will become more effective as a leader, they will make better decisions and they will work better with and inspire their team members to achieve higher levels of performance.
Team managers will be better at leading themselves, leading others, and leading the team.
A deeper understanding of self and others enables leaders and managers to better work with and influence others. Team leaders who lead themselves are more inspiring, empowering and positively impact their teams. Team leaders who build skills to perform under pressure enhance not only their own performance but also that of their team.
Team leaders who are fully present make better decisions, work better with others and become more effective as leaders. A deeper understanding of ourselves helps us to better understand and influence others. A person is less likely to be an effective leader if she or he lacks understanding and application of this leadership framework.
Lead Yourself
Team managers are more focused and can sustain peak performance states. They have enhanced clarity and inner calm in uncertain times. They gain emotional awareness to support better decisions and behaviors.
Lead Others
Team managers are more resilient and motivated to better engage and lead others. They develop their mindset and skills to be more adaptive. They are able to elevate motivation, meaning, and relationships at work.
Lead the Team
Team leaders have deeper connections and more influence and impact on teams. They develop high-performance standards within their teams and lead through a culture where the people on their teams thrive.
Build Leaders,
Not Managers.
“Eighty-five percent of leaders interviewed, including the most effective CEOs on the planet, have some type of mindfulness or meditation practice that can make them better at almost everything they do...or they need it to survive, to continue the pace and intensity.”
